Down the Drain

In the rain-slicked streets of a fictional New Albion city, private investigator Declan Rourke is hired to tail a quality-control technician at a flushable wipes giant. He soon senses another presence: a phantom shadow tracking his every move. As pipes burst and bodies turn up, what looked like a perfect corporate crime reveals itself as nothing more than negligence and blind chance. A literary psychological noir in the vein of Emma Donoghue, where the only real villain is the slow decay of attention.
