In the Federal Republic of Valeria, a new law banning gender-affirming care for minors has ignited a wave of violence. Deep-cover detective Callum Reed is embedded within the "Shield of Innocence," a clandestine group that targets medical practitioners, led by the charismatic and feared Marcus Voss. As the police net tightens, Reed finds himself haunted by the relentless logic of his target. The so-called "demon" Voss is merely a father whose primal desire to protect purity has been pushed to a terrifying, yet chillingly familiar, extreme.
