The Dull Edge

Private investigator Clara Reeves takes on a case the police have already closed: an accidental death that the victim's family cannot accept. While shadowing a former deputy through the rust-belt town of Coldwater County, she feels the grip of a reverse surveillance—an unknown figure dogging her every move. The cat-and-mouse pursuit spirals toward a deadlock in the hollowed-out shipyard, where the truth reveals itself not as a criminal masterstroke, but as a chain of spectacularly mundane blunders.
