The Model's Shadow

In late Qing Shandong, private detective Lin Ruian is hired to trail Zhao Dehou, a once-honored "Model Farmer" suspected of brutal land grabs and murder. As Lin stalks his target through rural villages, he discovers a mysterious shadow tracking his every move. When the two watchers finally meet in a deadlock, they must unite to dissect a crime that appeared flawless but was merely the offspring of luck, arrogance, and human dullness.
