Novel Summary
1978, the isolated New Haven Valley, United States. A charismatic cult leader, Ezekiel Harrow, uses the cover of a spiritual franchise to control his followers, demanding the ultimate loyalty through a mass “baptism” that is, in truth, a collective suicide. Undercover journalist Eve Groves is the sole lucid infiltrator, forced to craft a web of lies to survive. When the temple is set to collapse as the final act of devotion, she must risk exposing her identity to save the innocent before truth becomes a luxury that kills everyone.
