Gutter's Verdict

In the fictional East Asian port city of Haeju, detective Han Ji-ho investigates a brutal murder in the slum district of Eumji-dong, where desperate residents fought over a government redevelopment bid. He uncovers a web of official corruption and collusion, convicting the killer—but his victory only exposes a deeper, unshakeable cycle of exploitation, leaving the slum more hopeless than before.
