Shadow Beneath the Spoil

In the fractured republic of Karadan, a private investigator tails a coal baron after a deadly mine explosion. Soon he senses another shadow trailing them both—a survivor who has become a ghost. When the three finally converge in a desolate mining town, the line between hunter and hunted collapses, exposing a so-called perfect crime that is really just a slow-motion accident born of bureaucratic lethargy and cruel luck.
