In the rust-choked city of Verlaine, a disabled nurse’s discrimination lawsuit becomes the unwitting blueprint for a serial killer who stages murders as homages to classic novels. As the city spirals into a literary bloodbath, the plaintiff, the defendant’s legal team, and a broken detective are forced to confront that survival—not justice or morality—is the only currency that matters.
