In the fictional nation of Valdoria, a charismatic psychology professor at Blackthorn University recruits five socially rejected students for a secret experiment on authority and compliance. Inspired by the unsolved police killing of an immigrant, the study rapidly descends into a labyrinth of manipulation, staged crimes, and orchestrated violence.
