Haryana Caste Conflict Riot Case (2025)

In 2025, widespread riots erupted across Haryana, India, particularly in Rohtak and Hisar, triggered by disputes over caste-based reservation quotas. Dalit and Jat communities clashed violently during protests demanding enhanced affirmative action. The unrest led to the blocking of national highways, burning of vehicles and public property, and significant economic disruption. The violence resulted in multiple casualties and forced the state government to deploy CRPF troops and impose curfews to restore control. Mass arrests were made under the National Security Act (NSA), with authorities investigating criminal conspiracies behind the orchestrated riots.
